Support the Friends

We welcome your support! We are an all-volunteer organization and we depend on your support to carry out our mission to preserve history and nature at Valley Falls Farm and Valley Falls Park.

We own and take care of Valley Falls Farm, a scenic hillside property with an historic 1850 farmhouse and six outbuildings. The eight-acre site has been designated as a

Local Historic Property by the Town of Vernon. We work hard to keep the buildings and grounds visually attractive—a place that the community can look to with pride.

We own and operate the Valley Falls Heritage Center, a museum dedicated to telling the story of the Valley Falls Farm and its former life as a “Gentleman’s Farm.” Comprised of six buildings filled with unique exhibits, the Heritage Center is free and open to the public during the summer season.

We advocate for the protection of the natural treasures in Valley Falls Park. We work with the Vernon Parks & Recreation Department to carry out this purpose. We hold a series of informative nature walks every spring in the Park, including a bird walk, a wildflower walk, and a history walk.

We are dedicated to maintaining a landscape at Valley Falls Farm that supports wildlife and pollinators. We host two beekeepers and their hives, and we monitor and manage 13 bluebird houses on the property.

As you can see, we do a lot—and we do it all with volunteers!

Your financial support is critical to helping us continue our work.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donations are tax-deductible.

Thank you for your support!
